Fun Fam Hoops

"This program isn't going to be focused on winning tournaments but building from the fundamentals of basketball and applying specific principles to life, focused on playing together, for one another and for oneself".

FunFam is a developmental basketball program that focuses on skills training, basketball IQ and our Team Core Concepts: Hard work, Discipline, Trust, Accountability and Adaptability. We combine basketball related themes and valuable life lessons with the goal of having as many of our players selected for their respective school teams (7th, 8th, high school).

At certain times during the year, there will be sections/teams of our overall program that will participate in Tournaments, but these are not and will never be the FunFam focus. Tournament participation is used as a way to test the concepts we go over in practice: Sort of like a fun test. Winning or losing doesn't determine how well we did on that "test", rather our ability to play together and persevere.

Throughout the calendar year, our program is comprised of the following sections:

  • Offseason Training (Fall/Winter), which runs from roughly end of September till beginning of March.
  • Tournament Season (Spring/Summer), which runs roughly in the middle of April till end of August and has the following teams (player allocation decided by coaches):
    • Development Team – Personalized training and introduction to FunFam team concepts with no tournament participation
    • Tournament Teams – 11U, 12U, 13U and 16U team focused concepts that participate in 4-5 tournaments (mostly during Spring/Summer).

I always have and always will be supportive of playing multiple sports, having other arts/crafts interests and having time for family and fun. Everything on our calendar is optional. However, the program fee payment is not and one of the factors of tournament play eligibility (for those on the tournament teams) is attendance. Program spacing is limited and priority is given to Returning FunFam Members. Please confirm your interest to reserve your place if spots become available.
